Opening Hours & Closures:

Kent House Day Nursery is a full-day nursery that operates year-round. We are open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

We are closed on:

  • Bank holidays
  • One week at Easter
  • Two weeks at Christmas
  • Two inset days per year for staff training

Our year-round approach ensures consistency for children and flexibility for families, providing a stable and nurturing environment every day.

Please note that your childcare fee is non-refundable.

  • Deposit: £300 (deducted at the end of the contract or with 6 weeks’ notice of termination)
  • Registration Fee: £50 (non-refundable)
  • Discount: A 5% discount is available for siblings with the lowest fees. A 10% discount for children attending 5 days a week (non-funded only)
  • Minimum Booking Pattern: A minimum of 2 full days per week is required.

Funded Childcare:

Under 2 Funding:

For children under 2 years old in the London Borough of Bromley, Working Family Funding offers 30 hours of funded childcare per week for eligible families starting from September 2024. To qualify, parents must each earn at least the National Minimum Wage for 16 hours a week on average. You can apply once your child turns 9 months old, and the funding begins the term after approval.

2 Year Old Funding:

Families in Bromley may be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week for 2-year-olds, if they meet certain criteria. Eligibility is based on factors such as income, receiving specific benefits, or the child having additional needs (e.g., an Education, Health, and Care Plan). The free hours are available for 38 weeks each year.

3 & 4 Year Old Funding:

  • 15-Hour Funding: Available to all children aged 3 and 4. It provides 570 free hours per year, typically delivered over 38 weeks.
  • 30-Hour Funding: Available to working parents of 3- and 4-year-olds. It offers 1,140 free hours per year, spread over up to 52 weeks.

Consumables and Additional Charges:

The 15- and 30-hour funded entitlements are completely free of charge, with no mandatory fees applied to funded hours. Any additional charges are voluntary, and parents may opt out without affecting their child’s funded place.

 

Daily Voluntary Consumables Charges:

  • Food items: £7.56 per day

  • Non-food items: £2.50 per day

Optional Seasonal Activities:

  • £12 per day (e.g., Christmas, Easter and other themed celebrations)

Tax-Free and Childcare Vouchers:

We accept tax-free childcareall childcare vouchers, and the 15-hour and 30-hour government funding where applicable. This can significantly reduce your overall childcare costs.
